Building a Eco Modular Daycare Center for Harvard University
Our modular classrooms and daycare facilities can be constructed with top-of-the-line materials including those specifically-made to promote “green” initiatives.
In 2009, Commercial Structures Corporation, in conjunction with Anderson Anderson Architecture, was commissioned to build the Harvard Yard Child Care Center on the Cambridge campus of Harvard University. The company served as structural engineers, MEP/FP engineers, and contractors on the project.
The state-of-the-art, sustainable, eco modular daycare center featured reflective roofing, solar tubes, optimized natural daylight, waterless urinals, high efficiency windows, and was comprised of recycled and renewable materials. The relocatable building employed various methods to help reduce pollution, environmental contamination, waste, and more.
Many more features were incorporated into this sustainable building to help reduce waste, pollution, and environmental degradation by efficiently using energy, water, and other resources.
